| | Pfizer delivers millions in equipment | It's finally here. Pfizer delivered to our warehouse in Ypsilanti on Friday the first of many truck loads of their laboratory equipment for distribution to Michigan life science start-ups. Check out our web site for all the information about who qualifies, how you apply, etc. This is the initial donation of what will be about $6 million of equipment to be donated to Ann Arbor SPARK for distribution to eligible companies from around the state. We anticipate receiving new truck loads of equipment each month for a while. Companies should check out the inventory list at least monthly to see what is available. Companies can apply every month, and at any time during the month. This should be a real boost for a lot of companies in our booming life science industry in Michigan. Thank you Pfizer. | | |
| | How to get the most at an auction | Our friend Kyle Schwulst at ElectroJet supplied these tips for getting the most from your auction experience. A few things to note for the auction virgins in the crowd - Buyer's premium - The amount OVER the price you bid that you need to pay. This is the amount the auction company makes on your purchase. Taxes may be additional. Take note of the move-out times. If you don't get your stuff out on time, you may be charged a fee. Take a close look at the pics or stop by in person if you can. Sometimes things don't quite look the same in person. When you go to pick up your items, sometimes you can get free stuff!! They typically want to clean house. Some people don't take all their stuff. Some of the free stuff can be great. Don't be bashful, and be friendly with the locals when you show up. You never know what they will throw in the back of your truck. ;) | | |
